So the computer fix wasn’t a big deal, but unfortunatly, I’ve been really sick since Sunday, and today is my first day back up and around. I tried to go back to work yesterday but I only made it through half the day before giving up and coming back home to go to bed. Today, though, was my day. So stop yelling at me people! I have quilts to tell you about now….sheesh!
After I was finally feeling well enough to do more than sip on Vernors and watch more than 15 minutes of tv at a time without falling asleep, I finished up my bright square quilt top.
I had a lot of trouble taking a good picture of it this afternoon in my house. I really, really like how it turned out though! As soon as I have some extra quilting money, I’m going to go ahead and order the Disco Dot fabric for the backing. It’s been so much fun for me to do–it was quick and easy to piece, and the bright colors are interesting to work with. I’m glad this one’s getting ready to quilt.
After I finished up that top I moved on to the stack of 30’s reproduction fabric that’s been sitting on my desk for awhile now:
I’ve been collecting the reproduction prints for awhile now, (that’s not my whole pile) and I hadn’t been able to come up with a good pattern for them. During my days on the couch though, I decided to go with a bow-tie pattern. I think my first block turned out pretty well too:
And of course, the top of the wedding quilt is finished! Super YAY! I really surprised myself with how fast the top came together afterall. When I started it, I thought that I might have been working on it for years before it all came together. If you’re not someone who isn’t allowed to see pictures of it, click on the link!
